Fountain Street, Belfast
2001

Cost: 1.6m
The Governors of the Linen Hall Library

This historic library in the centre of Belfast has an important role in the cultural life of the city. Based in a former linen warehouse the library had gradually fallen into a shabby, cluttered and sub-standard position. An agreement to take a long lease on the upper floors of a long narrow warehouse behind the Library gave the opportunity to extend and modernise the library.
